Built for a Purpose: A Message for the New School Year
At River City Believers Academy, each school year begins with prayerful expectation and a fresh reminder of who we are and why we exist. This year, we’re thrilled to announce our 2025–2026 school theme: Built for a Purpose, inspired by Hebrews 3:4:
"For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything." – Hebrews 3:4
This verse anchors our hearts in the truth that God is not only our Creator, but also the master builder of our lives. He doesn't build without intention. He doesn't design without meaning. Just as every beam, every nail, and every blueprint in a house matters, so does every student, every teacher, and every moment at RCBA.
What This Theme Means for Our Community
Built for a Purpose is more than a slogan—it’s a declaration over every child walking our halls: You were made on purpose, for a purpose. This year, we want our students to not only grow academically, but to grow in their identity in Christ. As we study, serve, compete, create, and worship together, we’ll be reminded that we’re part of something bigger—God’s eternal plan.
Whether a kindergartner just starting out or a senior preparing to launch into the next season, each of our students is a living testimony of God’s craftsmanship. Our desire is for every heart to be strengthened in the knowledge that God is building something beautiful—something eternal—through their lives.
How We’ll Live It Out
Throughout the year, this theme will be woven into chapel messages, classroom discussions, service opportunities, and school-wide events. We’ll celebrate the unique gifts and purposes God has placed in each individual, and we’ll call students to steward their talents for His glory.
You’ll see the theme reflected in our spirit wear, in our classrooms, and—most importantly—in our daily interactions. We invite our families, staff, and local community to walk with us in this journey, encouraging one another and building each other up in Christ.
We can’t wait to see what God will do in and through RCBA this year. After all, every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
Prayerfully,
Mrs. Davenport, Head of School
