Partnering with Families Around the World
River City Believers Academy welcomes international students who desire a Christ-centered, academically rigorous education. Below is an overview of the application process for international applicants.
Application Process
Step 1: Submit an Application
All new students must complete our online application here. A non-refundable $250 application fee is required, along with all supporting documents.
Step 2: Meet the English Proficiency Requirement
Students must demonstrate proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English to be considered for admission.
Step 3: Submit Required Recommendations
Two recommendation forms are required:
- Pastoral Recommendation
- Teacher Recommendation
Please provide current, valid email addresses for each when completing the online application. Forms will be emailed directly to them and returned to RCBA upon completion.
Step 4: Upload Required Documents
Families are responsible for submitting all necessary documentation. Any item not in English must be professionally translated, notarized, and sealed at the family's expense. Required documents include:
- Standardized test scores and report cards (last 2 years, converted to U.S. credits)
- High school applicants: records from 8th grade through current grade
- Documentation of any current academic, therapy, or support services
- Any diagnosis that may impact learning
- Student’s birth certificate
- Copy of student Visa
- Current immunization records (in English)
If the student will live with someone other than a parent or legal guardian, a notarized Power of Attorney must also be included.
Step 5: Credential Evaluation
Once translated, documents must be submitted to the Foreign Credentials Service of America for evaluation. This step is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
Step 6: Interview with the Head of School
After the full application is reviewed, RCBA will schedule a virtual interview with the student, their parent(s), and the Head of School. If the student will reside with a host family, they should also attend. A screenshot of the student will be taken for identification purposes. Admissions decisions are made shortly after the interview.
Step 7: Enrollment Completion
Once accepted, families will complete the online enrollment packet and select a tuition payment plan. A non-refundable $600 enrollment fee is due at this time. Students may not begin classes until enrollment and payment are confirmed.
Step 8: Student Visa Requirement
After enrollment is finalized, RCBA will issue the I-20 form. It is the family’s responsibility to ensure the student secures an F-1 Student Visa before traveling to the U.S.
Tuition & Affordability
At RCBA, we believe a Christ-centered education should be both excellent and accessible. Our tuition reflects the high value of our academic and spiritual programs while remaining more affordable than many private schools in the area.
