At River City Believers Academy, athletics is more than competition—it’s an opportunity for students to develop in faith, character, and community. Our middle and upper school sports program encourages personal growth through teamwork, perseverance, and integrity.

Our Athletic Philosophy

Through sports, students embrace hard work, loyalty, and dedication—essential life skills that extend beyond the field. Athletics is a hands-on classroom for teamwork, goal-setting, resilience, and sportsmanship. Our coaching staff is passionate about mentoring across a diverse student body, nurturing both intellect and character. As Soldiers, our student-athletes build relationships that last a lifetime.

Conference: TAPPS

As proud members of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), our student-athletes encounter healthy, faith-filled competition across schools statewide. With over 230 member schools, TAPPS offers opportunities to grow in skill, sportsmanship, and community spirit.

High school students are asked to learn more about important health and safety topics related to athletics—these include:

• Performance-Enhancing Drugs
• Cardiac Health
• Concussions
• Heat Illness Prevention
   

Students may review this information by watching a video or reading the TAPPS materials linked above. After reviewing, they’ll need to complete and submit the Student Acknowledgment of Rules form, which RCBA will keep on file.
