Welcome to River City Believers Academy
We’re so glad you’ve found us. River City Believers Academy (RCBA) is a fully-accredited Christian school in Northeast San Antonio, serving students from preschool through 12th grade. As a ministry of River City Community Church, our mission is to partner with parents to prepare students for real life as passionate followers of Jesus Christ.
At RCBA, we believe every student is uniquely created in the image of God—fearfully and wonderfully made with a divine purpose. Our classrooms are filled with love, where students are known, challenged, and encouraged to grow in every area of life: spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
Whether exploring truth through rigorous academics, developing skills in athletics and fine arts, or discovering their God-given calling, students at RCBA are equipped to live lives of influence and impact.
We’d love to welcome you into the RCBA family. For more information, please contact our office at (210) 656-2999 or email us at info@rcbaonline.com.
Let’s raise up the next generation—together.
Mission
At River City Believers Academy, our mission is to partner with parents to prepare students for real life as passionate followers of Jesus Christ.
Vision
We envision a generation of students who think critically, lead boldly, and serve faithfully—equipped with a biblical worldview and committed to impacting the world for Christ.
Christian education at RCBA is more than academics. It's discipleship, leadership, and preparing hearts and minds for a life of impact.
Statement of Faith
River City Believers Academy is a ministry of River City Community Church and holds to the core biblical teachings of our church family. Our faith shapes everything we do—from the classroom to the community.
We believe in one God—loving, holy, and eternal—who exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man. Born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died in our place, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again in victory.
We believe that salvation is a gift from God. Because sin separated us from Him, Jesus took our place, paying the penalty for sin through His death on the cross. By God’s grace, all who repent and place their faith in Christ are forgiven, reborn, and restored into relationship with God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who dwells within believers, equipping and empowering them to live God-honoring lives and to serve others.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, our ultimate authority in all matters of faith, life, and truth.
We believe in the resurrection of all people—eternal life for those who are saved, and eternal separation for those who reject God.
We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers through Jesus Christ.
Biblical View of Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality
RCBA affirms a biblical understanding of human identity and relationships, reflecting the teachings of Scripture with both truth and compassion.
Marriage
We believe that God created marriage as a sacred union between one man and one woman. Sexual intimacy is a gift from God to be expressed within that covenant relationship.
(Genesis 2:18–25; Ephesians 5:21–23; 1 Corinthians 7:2)
Gender
We believe God creates each person as male or female, and that these distinct, complementary genders are a reflection of His image. Our identity is God-assigned and carries divine purpose.
(Genesis 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20)
Sexuality
We believe that all sexual activity is designed for the covenant of biblical marriage. We are called to live in purity and to honor God with our bodies.
(Exodus 20:14; 1 Corinthians 6:9–20; Hebrews 13:4; Leviticus 18:22, 20:13; Romans 1:26–27)
While we hold firm to biblical convictions, we are also called to love all people as Christ does. We seek to reflect both grace and truth in all our interactions.
RCBA upholds these biblical positions in all areas of instruction, discipleship, and student life.
