What is the RCBA dress code?
Starting this school year, 2011-12, each student will be required to purchase a white monogrammed polo from the School Yard clothing store. This polo will be worn for yearbook pictures, field trips, and any other activity that we want our students to be dressed “uniformly” to identify our school. Regardless of where you purchase the uniforms, the following standards and accepted options apply:

How do I contact the school in an emergency?
Contact the school office at (210) 656-2999. In the event of a school emergency there will be notifications sent out to all parents and legal guardians’ cell phones via Parent Alert.

What extra-curricular programs do you have available?
We are a member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), and students in this conference are able to participate in 6-man football, basketball, swimming, track, tennis, and golf. In addition, we have various opportunities for academic activities such as ACSI Spelling Bees, Math Olympics, Speech and Debate, and Theatre. Many of these activities are dually offered through TAPPS as well. We also offer after school programs for art and music.

When is tuition due, and how can I pay?
Tuition is due no later than the 5th of each month unless you are using our convenient Easy Pay Program, which allows you to have your payments automatically drafted from your account. In this case, you can choose to be drafted either on the 5th or the 20th of each month. We are hoping to be able to accept online credit card payments soon. Payments can also be mailed or dropped off by the office in person.

How can I keep track of my student’s grades?
Each week, grade book progress reports are emailed to parents. In addition, we contact parents when a student receives a grade lower than 70. Every 3 weeks, parents are e-mailed a formal progress report, and at the end of each 9-week grading cycle a report card is e-mailed to parents.

Where do I drop off and pick up my children?
Kinder and Pre-K students will be dropped off behind the sanctuary at the Pre-K/Kinder hallway entrance near the yellow concrete ballards. If a family has additional students older than Pre-K and Kinder they may also drop off at this location. Pre-K students ONLY will be picked up in the same location.  All other students, including Kinder, will be dropped off and picked up below The Pavilion.

How can I volunteer or donate to the school?
Many of our volunteers use their gifts and talents in many different ways. Please just contact the school office and we will gladly be able to place you to use your God-given talents. You can also visit our Ways to Give and Prayer & Volunteers pages for more information.

I want my child to go to RCBA, but I’m not sure we can afford it. Is there a scholarship program available?
Yes, there are scholarships awarded during each school year. We use an online evaluation program called FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) to determine eligibility for financial needs. Discounts will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be based on financial need. During the application process you will be asked to give information on your salaries, mortgage payments, etc., as well as info about your family size. Applications for tuition assistance must be renewed every year.

What supplies does my student need?
School supply lists are given to student during the first week of class.

Do we have to be born-again Christians in order for our children to attend RCBA?
According to RCBA board policy at least one member of the child’s family must be a born again Christian.
